O God, You are the source of all truth — and You know how hard truth can be to speak and to keep. Give me a mouth that does not wander from what is real, and a heart honest enough to face what I would rather not see.
Protect me from the small deceits that seem harmless — the exaggerations, the omissions, the half-truths dressed up as kindness. Help me to understand that authentic love does not hide from truth; it speaks it gently, and receives it humbly.
When truth is costly, give me courage. When it is painful, give me compassion. When I am tempted to shade reality to protect my own reputation or comfort, remind me of what is lost when trust is broken — and what is gained when it is kept.
May I be someone others can rely on — not merely for accuracy, but for integrity. A person whose word is enough, whose presence feels safe, whose life tells a story that does not require revision.
Let truth be the ground I stand on, the air I breathe, and the light I offer to the world.
Amen.
